The name is a pun: “Awl, On Us” sounds like “it’s all on us.” We’ll pick where you eat. Roll the dice, no more arguing about where to go — think of it as a random restaurant generator for whenever nobody can agree.
Awl, On Us is a restaurant picker that uses your live location to find restaurants, cafes, and bars near you, then randomly rolls one for you to try. Instead of a group chat full of “where should we eat” and “idk, you pick,” you can narrow things down first — set a search radius, filter by cuisine or type of place, or limit results to spots that are open now — and then let the app make the final call.
There’s no account to create and nothing to pay for. Open the app, share your location (or drop a pin manually), and start rolling.
Restaurant listings come from OpenStreetMap, a free, community-maintained map of the world. Because it’s edited by volunteers, details like hours or whether a place is still open can occasionally be out of date — see the FAQ for how to help fix that.
Awl, On Us is free and always will be. If it’s saved you from an argument or two, you can buy me a coffee — totally optional.
